"ThanksGIVING or should it be Thanks-FORGIVING???
As the holiday approaches, many of us share our gratitude for what we have. It has been a tough year with the economy, and this has directly affected many of our St. Edward's families. Yet, in true St. Ed's form, folks have rallied and pooled together and have helped each other out. Giving generally is easier then forgiving someone for a wrong that they have done. Thanksgiving is a wonderful "push" to assist us in moving towards this direction of forgiving. One of the qualities that separate us from other schools is the extraordinary support and input from our parents. This was clearly evident with the recent attendance of our parents at parent teacher conferences. This was a time to come together to support your child and to say thanks to the dedication and commitment of your child's teachers. We are very blessed with a caring and compassionate staff here at St. Edward's. One of the ways our staff shows their dedication is in holding our students accountable when they have failed to make a right choice academically or with their actions. Using the Character Counts program, the students are responsible for their behavior and actions. Included in the Express Envelope today is a copy of the behavior policy that coincides with the Code of Conduct found in the school handbook.

Reminder: Cookie dough pick up is Friday, November 20th from 2:30-4:30 in the school cafeteria. If you are unable to come at that time please make arrangements for someone else to pick up your order. If you turned in your order list, it will be returned to you in your Express Envelope today, so that you can distribute your orders. Thank you again for supporting St. Edward School!

POPCAN DRIVE: Boy Scout Troop 1 will be collecting aluminum cans (pop and beer) and bottles (glass and plastic) on Sat. Nov. 28 from 9:00-12:00 in the St. Ed's parking lot by the Scout shed. Thank you for your donations!
